POSTPARTUM DOULA SERVICES

Postpartum support encompasses:

Education, companionship, and nonjudgmental support during the postpartum "fourth trimester";
Assistance with newborn care, family adjustment, meal preparation, and light household tidying;
Offering of evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing, and coping skills for new parents;
Back-up services;
Personalized referrals when needed or requested.

Fees: Postpartum services are per hour, and support is individually tailored. It can be one visit, on an as-need basis, or regularly scheduled. As a postpartum doula, I work in conjunction with a local group of lovely doulas, Renaissance Childbirth and Postpartum Professionals. Hourly fees are $25. I hope that every family can be well-supported as they begin their journey together; please inquire about sliding scale if finances would prevent you from hiring a doula.
