BIRTH DOULA SERVICES

Birth Doula Support includes:

One or more prenatal visits;
Physical, emotional, and informational support tailored to your individual needs and desires;
Unlimited phone and email consultation;
24-hour on-call availability during your due date range;
Continuous support during your birth and immediate postpartum;
Four hours of postpartum support;
Back-up doula services;
Personalized referrals and resources.

I have cultivated close working relationships with a handful of Portland doulas. When you hire me, you get a team of support. Two doulas attend your prenatal meeting so that you have the added benefit of knowing another doula if, for some reason, I am not able to be there. The underlying advantage to this is that you get a saner doula--on call time takes a toll and is the number one cause of doula burn-out. I have formed these partnerships so that I may continue to offer you the best support and service. It may seem trivial, but you are better supported by a doula who has occasional opportunities to go for a hike!

Fees: Birth doula services are $900-$1200. I hope that every woman who wants a doula can have one, therefore I offer sliding scale rates and barter whenever possible. Please contact me with questions, inquiries, or to further discuss your birth.
